1. Research Design
Research design is a systematic plan to study scientific problem. For the purpose of this research study, the descriptive and experimental research design shall be adopted. This is to enable the researcher to collect data meaningful to the success of the research study and also enable the researcher to use statistical tools ( experimental design ) to test the accuracy of the sample and the data collected from the field.
2. Population of the Study
The term population is generally used to denote the total number of people in one geographical area ( Nwana 2001 ).
The population of the staff and management together with board of trustees (BOT) of first bank in the study area is 120 ( one hundred and twenty ) people population of comprise of all 365 branches of Stambic Bank Nigeria plc nationwide with, meanwhile, Stambic Bank plc Zaria branch is the sample size of this study. A sample size is adopted from the total work force and the customer base of Stambic Bank Nigeria plc. The sample percentage is employed to calculate the sample from Stambic Bank plc Zaria branch. The total staff strength of Stambic Bank is 50 out which 40 percent is Chosen as sample study.
This shown in calculation below: 40/100 x 50/1 = 20
3. Sample size for the study
In the course of this study, 20 customers are also selected for questionnaire administration, making a total of 40 questionnaire produced and administered to the sample size of the study.
4. Method of Data Collection
In view of the importance attached to this research, the researcher employed effective instrument for Data Collection which range from documentary evidence questionnaire and personal observation.
I. Observation
In order to get detailed information, the researcher personally took time observe the performance of employee indifferent organization. His observations were to find what is responsible for their effective performance or otherwise.
ii. Personal interview
The researcher personally interviewed some of the staff in the organization he went to essence of this action was to give the staff room, to express their view on wide varieties of personal management policies in their organization. Some people expressed themselves, better, when interview than they are remote controlled question that demand answers. It is worthy to state here that the researcher employed a hand to hand collection of response in order to reduce the high rate of missing questionnaire however, out of the seventy questionnaire administered only sixty wore received.
4. method of Data Collection
The data generated for their study from both primary and secondary sources,
primary sources:
Questionnaires were served by the researcher to both staff and customer of Stambic Bank Nigeria plc, Zaria. It's structured in a way that level of Computer in Stambic Bank plc, can be easily associated by going through them. Interview was also conducted with some of the senior staff of the bank.
Secondary sources:
Related textbooks, journals and newspapers were consulted for the purpose of this study. These documents were very helpful to the researcher. The data are presented in the next chapter. The data used both the primary and secondary sources. And the time covered is 2021 to date. The primary sources include observation and distributor of questionnaires, secondary sources like jounals, textbooks, newspapers, magazines, internet and so on were also used.
5. Method for Data Analysis
The data of this study was secured through descriptive method whereby the survey method questionnaire distribution was utilized.
