 WHAT IS METHOD?

      A method simply means a general way of doing something. Method can be defined as the formal structure of the sequence of activities commonly donated by instructions. Method covers the strategies and tactics of what is to be taught at a given time and means of teaching it and the order of teaching it.

          A method can also be define as an organized, orderly, and systematic way of achieving purpose or objectives. A method simply means as how to do something in order to achieve desire result.

Not all subject requires the same method of instruction for instance some may require lecture method while some require demonstration method others may require discussion method or any of the teaching method.

ATTRACTIVENESS

     Instructional materials are supposed to stimulate and sustain learners during the lesson. Therefore, materials selected should always be attractive and be carefully arrange.

RELEVANCE

   Material selected could only be useful if they are relevant to the topic taught. Therefore, the relationship between the resource material and objectives of a lesson should always be the guiding principles in the selection of the materials for the teaching and learning.

AVAILABILITY

   One thing to conceive of a very important and effective material resource and another is for it to be available. Therefore, you should always consider the availability of the material you intended to select for use. Available here includes locating the material and their prices. Those to be selected should be what is affordable. It is however more appropriate to make the use of simple and cheap materials so that the instructor can improvise some them when the if they cannot be afforded. 

VISIBILITY

     For any material to be selected it should be ease with which students can see. For example, if a poster or a diagram is presented the writing most be bold enough so that the learners sitting at the angle of the class can see easily.

EASY USAGE

      Before you choose to use a given material resources, be it visual or audio,you must insure that you can manipulate it with ease. It becomes ridiculous and embarrassing if you come to the lecture with equipment which you cannot operate. Today, there are numeral electronics media or resources which are being used to improve teaching and learning. These include firm and firm slips, projector, and so on.
