Getting started

• insert your SIM Card into your phone and get it activated with your call. The Sim card is a small microchip which is attractive to the SIM card holder in your SIM pack, it represents your Glo mobile line and holds vital 

• if your phone is new, charge the battery of your mobile phone by connecting phone and plugging the change into an electric outlet for a minimun of 8 hours.

RECHARGING YOUR ACCOUNT

• Scratch carefully the silver panel on the scratch card to reveal the recharge number.

• Enter the following on your mobile phone:

• *123*pin#

• press YES/OK/SEND Key to recharge your Goo mobile account.

• Your credit will be automatically loaded with the recharge card value and you will receive confirmation of the recharge.

Making outgoing calls

• To make calls to a fixed line or a private telecom operator. enter the area code of the destination to be called e.g. 01 for Lagos followed by the destination number and then press the YES/OK/SEND key on your handset.

• To call any GSM line within the country, dial the complete number 080XXXXXXXX and then press the YES/OK/SEND key on your handset.

• To make an international call dial 009 or +followed by the destination country code, area code and your correspondent number and then press YES/OK/SEND key on your handset. 

To receive a call

• press YES/OK/SEND key on your handset to answer a call.

• To end a call, press NO/END key on your handset. 

To call a Glo Mobile line from abroad

Caller dials + or international access code, followed by the international access code for Nigeria (234) and the last 10-digit of the Glo mobile number e.g +234805XXXXXXX

Security & Safety

•  The SIM card is a unique microchip which is the key to Goo mobile services and can also store your contact's names and phone numbers.

•  The PIN code of the SIM card is your 4-digit security code that ensures that only have access to your Goo mobile prepaid account.

•  The PUK code (PIN Unblocking Key) is your unique 8-digit unblocking code only used if you have entered the wrong PIN code more than three Times.

• All information about PIN and PUK numbers are on your SIM card and

represent proof of ownership. Do not misplace it at any time.

Enabling/Changing your PIN code

• Go to the "Security" menu of your mobile phone.

• Go into the sub menu 'Enable PIN'

• Enter the default PIN: '0000'

• Enter your 4-digit PIN code. Your new PIN code should be a number which is easy to remember. It must be kept confidential.

• Confirm your new PIN code.

• You have now personalized your own PIN code, warranty of security!

• Your prepaid account life cycle

•  Validity period

In this period, complete access to the prepaid service is available. You can make calls, receive calls and recharge your account. To remain in this period call, send SMS or recharge at least once within 90 days.

•  Grace period

Duration after the validity period when you can only receive calls and recharge your account. If no recharge is made during this period, your line will enter the inactive

period. 

• inactive period

Duration after the group period when you cannot make or receive calls. Recharging enables you to make calls. If no recharge is made during this period your line will be disconnected.

•  Account Expiry

If you do not recharge during the inactive period, your line will be disconnected and cannot be used anymore. 

Account balance inquiry

• This service allows you to check the account balance on your line at any time.

• To access this service, you have two options as shown below.

Option 1

Dial *124# and press the OK/YES/SEND key on your phone within a few seconds. you will receive the account balance on your line.

Option 2

Dial 124 and follow the voice instructions to listen to your account balance.

Reporting lost stolen mobile phones and SIM card

• if you lose your mobile phone containing your SIM card, please contact customer care or the nearest Goo world and provide details of your Glo mobile number. activation data, preciously called numbers and last recharge date.

•  Your Glo number will be blocked to prevent undesired access in to your account.

•  If you recover your handset and SIM card, please contact customer care or nearest Goo world to un-block/release your number and account.

•  If your phone cannot be recovered, you have the option of performing SIM replacement at any of our Glo world offices to retain your mobile number.

This feature allows you to see the phone number of the caller on your handset screen All Goo Mobile lines are pre-activated with this feature. If you have store the caller's name and phone number on your handset (refer to handset user manual), the name of the caller is displayed on the phone screen.

•   Call Waiting:

Call waiting is a facility that notifies you that a second call is on wait, during an at I've call. You would be notified of a second call by a recurring beep, which will be audible to you during your conversation. The caller's number or name would also be displayed on the screen of your phone. All Glo Mobile customers are provided with this facility. Depending on your handset you may have to perform a one time set up to activate this service.

• Call Hold:

During an active call, if you wish to originate or receive a second call, you may put the first call on hold and originate/receive another call. You may also choose to swap between two calls.

• Call forwarding

This facility allows you to forward your incoming call to another number or to your voice Mai service depending on a particular condition ( All calls, when BusyWhen No Reply and when unreachable ). If the call is forwarded to another phone number, it would be charged as per the applicable tariff rate to the destination number.
